About Us
Helping India invest with historical clarity
ReturnScreener exists to answer one question with complete honesty: what did a stock actually do — over 1, 5, 10, or 20 years — and what would your money have become?
What ReturnScreener is
ReturnScreener is a historical stock analytics platform built for long-term Indian investors. We compute returns, CAGR, and wealth-creation journeys for 500+ companies in the Nifty 500 universe, using up to 20 years of historical price history, refreshed daily.
Every page on this site is generated from real market data: how ₹10,000 invested in a company grew over time, how a stock performed against the NIFTY benchmark, how two companies compare head-to-head, and which stocks created the most wealth over any period from 1 to 20 years.
Why we built this
Most Indian market content is noise: tips, predictions, and headlines that expire in a day. It is written to be urgent, because urgency sells — and it leaves the ordinary investor no better informed about the only thing that reliably builds wealth, which is what happens to a good business held for a long time.
Long-term wealth is built differently. It comes from understanding how businesses compound over years and decades, and that understanding starts with clean historical data presented without an agenda. So we built the thing we wanted to use: a place where you can look up any Indian stock and see, honestly and immediately, what it did and what it would have done to your money.
Whether you are a first-time investor learning what CAGR means or an experienced researcher comparing two decades of sector performance, ReturnScreener gives you the same honest starting point: what actually happened.
What ReturnScreener is not
We are deliberately not a trading platform, a broker, a tipping service, or a news website. We do not predict future returns, publish price targets, or recommend buying or selling any security. We are not SEBI-registered investment advisors.
Everything you see here is historical and educational. Past performance never guarantees future results — our job is to make the past accurate, transparent, and easy to understand, so you can do your own research with better context. How we hold ourselves to that is written down in our Editorial Policy.
Our data
Our analytics are computed from publicly available market data covering the Nifty 500 universe — 500+ listed companies across 19 sectors and major indices — with historical price records going back up to 20 years. Prices and derived metrics refresh every trading day.
You can read exactly how each number on this site is calculated — CAGR, wealth multiples, benchmark comparisons, and rankings — along with the limitations we know about, on our Methodology page.

Raghav
Founder & Analyst, ReturnScreener
Raghav is a software engineer and a self-taught long-term investor. He built ReturnScreener after years of frustration with Indian market coverage that optimised for urgency — tips, targets, and predictions — while almost never answering the simplest question an investor actually has: what did this stock really do, and what would my money have become?
He is not a SEBI-registered investment advisor and holds no financial qualification. What he does have is the dataset: ReturnScreener computes returns, CAGR, and wealth-creation journeys across 500+ Nifty 500 companies using up to 20 years of price history, refreshed every trading day. Every guide published here is written against that data, and every claim is one the numbers can support.
